North Star Reach offers children with serious health challenges a piece of childhood they might not otherwise experience—campfires and s’mores with new friends, paddling a canoe across the lake, catching fireflies at dusk, or shooting a bow and arrow for the first time. Our mission is to provide life-changing, barrier-free camp experiences—always free of charge—for children with serious health challenges and their families.

Volunteers help North Star Reach stretch every dollar to make the greatest impact on our campers and, in return for the gift of time, find a place filled with community and belonging themselves.
North Star Reach is is thrilled to invite the community to its first-ever MOOSE-IC Festival, taking place on Saturday, August 23, from 12–10 pm at its scenic camp in Pinckney, Michigan. The event promises a full day of live music, great food, campfires, and the signature magic of camp—all in support of children with serious health challenges.
North Star Reach is proud to announce that Board Fellow Carly Colen has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious Outstanding Board Fellow Award, recognizing her exceptional contributions to North Star Reach and her significant positive impact throughout her time through the University of Michigan Nonprofit Board Fellowship Program.
North Star Reach is proud to announce its recognition as a 2025 Champion for Children by the LACASA Center’s Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Council and Great Start Livingston. The award was presented during the annual “Plant a Pinwheel” celebration at the Howell Carnegie District Library, marking the start of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
