The facility will serve as many as 150 campers and 125 support staff per session, with completely barrier free access to all buildings and activities. Camp Facilities will include a health center staffed by doctors and nurses from the University of Michigan and other area pediatric hospitals to care for kids who would not be able to attend a camp.  The camp will have a dining hall, cabins to house campers and staff, arts and crafts facilities, a nature center, hiking trails, athletic area, an accessible tree house with zip line, archery range, amphitheater and waterfront docks all designed to blend into the rustic camp environment.

A medical needs assessment, feasibility studies and initial site plans have been completed including an inventory of built and natural features. Current work includes engineering for utility infrastructure, final site plans and the start of the permitting requirements. A development framework plan and master site plan are targeted for completion in Fall 2010. Construction can begin as early as spring 2011!

Additional renovations will include and existing bath/shower house for staff, 3 existing cabins for staff sleeping quarters and enlargement of an existing maintenance building.

Additional structures to be built include an accessible treehouse and zip-line, an archery target range and an arts and crafts building.

Future buildings will include additional staff dormitories, family housing for staff, a dedicated administration building, a new dining hall (and renovation of the existing dining hall into a multi-purpose activity building), a nature center, an indoor pool and gymnasium and a wilderness campsite area.
